ntLIVE For Adults: Teaching the Big Picture of the New Testament

On 17 August 2024, the Sower Institute for Biblical Discipleship (SIBD), in collaboration with Walk Thru The Bible, organised a session of ntLIVE Training for Adults, a seminar designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the New Testament. This interactive event aimed to provide a fresh perspective on the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus Christ, helping attendees appreciate the New Testament not just as historical text, but as a living guide for daily Christian life. Participants were encouraged to engage actively with the Scriptures, ask questions, and explore the connections between the Gospels, the Epistles, and the broader narrative of God’s redemptive plan.

The session was led by Rev Dr Peter Poon from Walk Thru The Bible, an experienced facilitator with a passion for making Biblical teachings accessible and engaging for adult learners. Through guided readings, discussions, and visual storytelling techniques, Rev Dr Poon helped participants see the structure, themes, and purpose behind the New Testament writings. Attendees were invited to trace the unfolding story of Jesus’ ministry, His teachings on love, grace, and service, and the early Church’s efforts to live out and spread the Gospel. The seminar also emphasised how the New Testament continues to offer wisdom, moral guidance, and inspiration for Christians navigating modern challenges.

Beyond the classroom-style teaching, ntLIVE provided opportunities for fellowship and community-building. Participants connected with fellow believers, sharing insights, personal reflections, and practical applications of Biblical principles. Many noted that the training renewed their appreciation for Scripture and motivated them to engage more intentionally with their daily study of God’s Word. By the end of the session, attendees left equipped with a richer understanding of the New Testament, inspired to apply its teachings in their homes, workplaces, and church communities, and encouraged to grow in faith through a deeper relationship with Christ.
