Haggai Institute Asia Ltd. Opens New Office in Singapore

On 13 November 2024, Haggai Institute Asia celebrated the official opening of its new office in Singapore, a significant milestone in the organisation’s ongoing development in the region. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by key leaders from Haggai International, including Dr Bev Williams, Chief Executive Officer; Dr Staci Thomas, Chief Operating Officer; and Rev Ezekiel Tan, Vice President of Haggai Institute Asia Ltd. Their presence underscored the importance of this occasion, which marked not only the establishment of a physical hub in Singapore but also the strengthening of the organisation’s commitment to advancing its mission in Asia.

The event highlighted Haggai Institute International’s core vision of ending Gospel poverty by equipping and inspiring Christian leaders to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ within their own cultural contexts. Dr Williams spoke about the organisation’s deep conviction that “the most effective evangelists for any community are its own leaders,” emphasising that Haggai’s role is to provide these leaders with the Biblical training, resources, and encouragement they need to disciple others. Dr Thomas added that the Singapore office would play a key role in fostering partnerships across the region and in supporting the next generation of leaders who are eager to integrate faith into their spheres of influence.

Rev Tan, who will be spearheading Haggai Institute Asia’s initiatives, reflected on the timeliness of this expansion. With Asia being home to diverse cultures, faiths, and growing urban populations, the need for leaders equipped with both spiritual depth and practical wisdom has never been greater. The opening of the Singapore office positions Haggai to be a vital resource and catalyst for regional impact, enabling more leaders to be trained and released for the work of the Gospel. The event concluded with prayer and thanksgiving, as attendees committed the new office to God’s purposes and looked forward to the fruit it would bear in the years ahead.
